- Women age 40 or older are eligible for routine screening. Women under 40 must have a physician’s order.
- You must not have had a mammogram within the last 12 months.
- Your last mammogram must have been negative.
- You should have no new symptoms such as lumps, pain, skin changes or nipple discharge.
- You must not have had breast cancer within the last three years.
Have a new breast concern? If you are experiencing a lump, pain, skin changes, nipple discharge or another new symptom, contact your healthcare provider rather than waiting for a routine screening mammogram.
Help Us Bring Mammograms Closer to Home
For many women in rural communities, receiving a mammogram can mean traveling long distances, taking additional time away from work or family, and overcoming financial barriers to preventive care.
Frontera Healthcare Network is raising funds to help bring mobile mammography services directly to our communities. Insurance will be billed when applicable, while community support helps make the mobile service possible and increases access for women who may otherwise face barriers to screening.
